Do I have 24hours to get out of a car finance agreement in Nevada?

Hi Everyone! My mom went to a car dealership without telling me and purchased a vehicle that is out of her price range. As soon as I came home from work I called the dealership to say that we would like to return the car because she cannot afford the payments. She will be meeting with them tomorrow and I just wanted to know does she have 24hours to return the vehicle in the state of Nevada (Las Vegas area). Thank you for your help!!

There is no cooling off period buying a vehicle and as far as the dealership is concerned they wont 99.9% let her out of the deal when she goes for her visit.

However there are ways out, but with details you provided I cant give you a proper answer.

1 ) subject to finance ?

2 ) Trade involved if so trade at dealership

3 ) what deposit was left if any

4 ) what papers were signed

5 ) your zip code

for starters if you care to any of the above questions along with anything else you may consider as value then contact me through me website http://www.usedcartips.org/ if there is a way out I will know...

Thank you all for such great answers, it really helped me know where we stood when she went back. They didn%26#039;t take the car back, but I was able to negotiate a much better finance arrangment which saved us $4,000. Thanks again! Report It

im not sure about Nevada, but I thought just as a general rule you have at least 3 days to a week to return a car.

Depending on what state you are in there might be a three day law. This would specific that by law you have three days to return a car from the date of purchase. If one was to return the car now, you would get resale value for it and car prices go down tremendously after having been driven off the lot. It will probably be better if he can find a private seller for it.

However in most states you do not even have one day, unless you are doing the 24-hour test drive program.

Federal law says that you have three days to cancel a contract. This is referred to as %26quot;buyers remorse%26quot;. This should apply to this case. This could vary by state.
