Just go to the dealer and bring your 1099. Most dealers have financing available though numerous finance companies. Your credit score is not the best but is OK to buy a car. Find out what their interest rate is. Also call your local bank and see what their rates are. Cars are easy to buy. Any dealer will sell you one. Just make sure you are getting the best deal. Check around and do your home work. Also your bank will be able to tell you how much the car is really worth if you are buying used. You can also look in the paper for similar cars or on the www. http://www.nada.com/

One more thing don%26#039;t pay the sticker price. Do some negotiating. Try to get 10 - 20% off. You may not get that much but try.

You 1099%26#039;s should be just fine.

One thing to note, Capital One card can actually hurt your credit score.

They do not report your total credit line to the credit bureaus, so it looks like you are using 100% of your available credit with them, and that dings your score.

A big part of your credit score is the ratio of how much credit balance you have outstanding vs. total credit line. If you get above 30% ratio, it hurts your score. So any balance on the Capital One is reported as 100% use of your credit line with them.

The quick fix is to pay off your balance with them completely and then wait a month or so prior to seeking financing.

As for car financing, I just recently financed through Ford Motor Credit. I didn%26#039;t have to show them any documents at all. But I came in with a 751 credit score, so that helped.
